Myrlys has a daughter, aged 20 and a son, aged 18. Myrlys enjoys politics, music (plays the violin and guitar), scuba diving, scrapbooking, photography and the NFL (especially the San Francisco 49ers). She is active in her local community, serving as a member of the CSD's Design Review Committee, a Premier Partner for the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the El Dorado Hills Community Vision, Inc. Board of Directors. Myrlys is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a Public Service Sorority.
